Pestos with Panache Summer Wrap Up
The weather this summer has been an absolute scorcher, but heat has only helped catapult Pestos with Panache forward with this summer’s events surrounding Pestos with Panache! As you may have read, Pestos has been participating at the SoWa Market in Boston’s South End. While I knew this area was up and coming, and full of eclectic food choices, I didn’t exactly know what I was getting myself into. I must say, that my new venture into the Boston food market scene has been wonderful and the feedback and reaction to my product has been fantastic! When I started this company I hoped that my product would be embraced by the general public, but also knew that my product was unique and probably wouldn’t win every customer over (we all know those picky eaters that just can’t wrap their heads around inventive flavors and combinations!) However, Pestos with Panache has really found a niche in the South End of Boston, because the response and reactions for Pestos has been absolutely amazing! From children to grandparents, and all ages in-between, everyone has their take on their favorite and what inventive dish they were going to create with PWP. Thank you so, so much to all of the lovely people that have come out to the SoWa market this summer. Your responses and thoughtful comments are much appreciated! If you haven’t been out to visit Pestos with Panache at the SoWa Market, there is still time. We will be offering tastings and selling pesto on September 19th and October 17th 2010.
Without further a’do, here are some photos from SoWa, please check out http://www.facebook.com/pestos-with-panache for more photos.
So while Bostonian’s couldn’t stop talking about my pesto, I was able to secure space in a another local shop in New York City, to further expand my reach in NYC. Pestos with Panache is now being carried in the freezer section at Commodities Market in the East Village of New York, very exciting! Commodities is located at 165 First Ave in New York. I couldn’t help but snap a few pictures when I went to drop off a delivery a few weeks ago:
Now this summer wasn’t all work and no play! I have been able to spend some time in the city with my Husband Phillip, here is a picture from my favorite restaurant, Supper.
On top of being able to take advantage of all that the city has to offer, we were also able to go to wine country in California for a few days….
It’s been an extremely busy summer for me as well at Pestos and I am looking forward to an equally successful and exciting Fall and Winter for Pestos with Panache! Thanks so much for checking out the update!
Now at Boston’s SoWa Food & Produce Market!
Ahhh, summer. It brings to mind some of life’s best memories, roof top cocktail parties, fun days on the beach, BBQs with friends, and of course, the emergence of your favorite local open air market. This summer, I am pleased to announce that Pestos with Panache is participating in a local market unlike any other, the SoWa Open Market in the South End neighborhood in Boston, MA.
I’m sure some of you are wondering, why Boston? Isn’t Pestos with Panache based out of Brooklyn, NY? As a few of you may know, I’m originally from Boston, so naturally I have a special place in my heart for the city! Also, one small confession, I have to admit that my pesto is not carried in as many stores in my hometown as I would like, so I’m hoping this will develop some Pestos with Panache fans in Bean Town! Finally, the SoWa Open Market is located in such a diverse and artistic neighborhood that is known for some of the best restaurants and markets in New England, it was the absolute perfect match. The SoWa market is unlike any other market, and Pestos with Panache is certainly unlike any other pesto!
Pestos with Panache will be at the SoWa Open Market Food & Produce Market (located behind one of my favorite spots, Rocca Restaurant) on Harrison Ave in the South End, Boston, MA. Check out the map provided by the SoWa Open Market here. Currently, we are signed on for five dates (but will hopefully be adding more to our calendar as we go on): June 20th, July 11th, August 8th, September 19th, and October 17th, each date our booth will be open from 10am-4pm.
Since I live in NYC, I am very lucky to have a great crew of Bostonian’s ready and willing to bring the flavors of Pestos with Panache to Boston, and I could not be more excited! Throughout the summer we will have Kim (@swimmykimy) Kate (@ktdilley) and Jamie (@afterdinnerdish) representing Pestos with Panache. They all live and work in Boston, and bring a different perspective on the topic of food, tastes and cooking to the table. Throughout the SoWa Market season they will be taking over my Pestos with Panache twitter account (@pestoswpanache) each Sunday posting updates, pictures and news about the market, be sure to stop by and say hello!
As an added incentive, we will be doing a GIVE-AWAY! Each Sunday that Pestos with Panache participates in the SoWa Open Market, the first Pesto fan to visit our booth, take a picture in front of the Pestos with Panache Booth, and Post it to Twitter mentioning PWP receives a free tin of pesto of their choice!! What’s not to love?!
So if you have the chance, stop by, say hello, and let us know what you think! See you at SoWa!
